Living with HIV has changed the way I care for my health. I’ve learned to pay closer attention to my well-being, and recently I discovered how important it is to understand cervical cancer. When I went for a cervical  cancer screening, the provider explained that my VIA result was positive. At first, I didn’t fully understand what it meant, but the clear explanations about the next steps and treatment helped me feel prepared.

As a woman living with HIV, I feel truly lucky to have received timely treatment for my precancerous lesion. Now, at 34 years old, after receiving the right treatment, I feel more confident, and reassured. I have come to understand that cervical cancer screening and treatment are essential for women living with HIV like me. This knowledge has empowered me to take charge of my health and encourage others to do the same.
